Liked  · Everything. I loved the location and the bed was very comfortable. I chose the hotel because it had a baby grand piano which I loved playing as I had brought some music to play. I also loved the Macoon cat. He was gorgeous. If I could.e again I would love to play the piano again.a

Liked  · The breakfast room, tea and bar area was a respite after a busy day. The breakfast was good and the staff was very, very accomodating. The hotel is "very French" and we loved the decor. The rooms/bed are very comfortable as well!

Did not like  · Room a little on small side and ants in bathroom- couldn’t be helped as on the garden

Liked  · The Hotel Gounod is a lovely and peaceful historic hotel that is classic elegance. The lobby staff are warm and tremendously helpful and knowledgeable. The breakfast room is decorated in lovely country French decor with classical music playing. Breakfast was lovely and peaceful yet a bit sparse. Parking was convenient and most reasonable. The town of St Remy is lovely and beautifully preserved from ancient times. The town is compact so we walked everywhere with no need for our car. Plenty of casual and more formal restaurant choices all within walking distance to the hotel.
